How it works

From draft to published

What happens to a confession after you send it, and what we do and do not know about you.

The four steps

  1. 1
    Write it

Say what is on your mind in up to 1,000 characters. No account, no name, no email.

  2. 2
    We review it

A moderator reads every submission against the community guidelines before anything goes live.

  3. 3
    It gets published

Approved confessions appear on the page you sent them to, and may be shared on social media.

  4. 4
    People respond

Readers who recognise themselves in your story react to it. That is where the support comes from.

Anonymity and privacy

What we never ask for

What we protect

Confessions can cover heavy subjects. If reading them is making things harder for you, step away and talk to someone.
