khconfess is an anonymous confession platform for university students. It is a place to share thoughts, experiences and confessions without revealing who you are.
Frequently asked questions
Answers to what people ask most about submitting, moderation, privacy and safety.
General
Confessions are never published with your identity attached. We store IP addresses temporarily for security and delete them after 30 days. Complete anonymity cannot be guaranteed in cases involving illegal activity or a legal investigation.
Approved confessions are visible to everyone who visits the site, and may also be shared on our social media pages. A moderator reviews every confession before it appears.
Submitting
Open the confession page you want to post to, write your confession in the text area (up to 1,000 characters), optionally add an image, then submit. It goes straight into that page's moderation queue.
Most confessions are reviewed within 2 to 6 hours. At peak times, or when something needs a careful read, it can take up to 24 hours. We choose care over speed.
The usual reasons are personal information, inappropriate content, harassment, spam, or being too close to a recent post. We don't give per-submission reasons, so that moderation stays consistent.
Yes, within reason. Similar or repetitive confessions may be rejected, so wait for earlier submissions to be processed before sending new ones.
Content rules
Personal experiences, academic struggles, relationship stories, mental health reflections, campus observations, career worries and social experiences. Keep it respectful and free of harm to others.
Harassment, hate speech, personal information (names, contact details), explicit sexual content, threats, illegal activity and spam. The full list is in our terms of service.
Yes — JPG, PNG or GIF up to 2 MB. Images follow the same rules as text: no personal information, no inappropriate content, no identifiable people. They are reviewed alongside the words.
Managing your content
No. Confessions are final once submitted, which is what keeps the anonymous system consistent. If you made a mistake, submit a new confession or contact us about removing the old one.
Because submissions are anonymous, we cannot verify who wrote one. Contact us with the confession URL and details only the author would know, and we will review the request case by case.
Use the report page or email [email protected]. Include the confession URL and what the problem is. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
Technical
Work through these in order: check your connection, disable ad blockers, clear your browser cache, try a private window, then try another browser. If it still fails, contact support.
Chrome 90+, Firefox 88+, Safari 14+ and Edge 90+. The site is fully responsive and works on phones and tablets.
Yes — a small number, for sessions, security and basic analytics. See the cookie policy for the detail. You can disable them in your browser, though some features will stop working.
Privacy and safety
We collect as little as possible, encrypt traffic over HTTPS, store IP addresses only temporarily (deleted after 30 days), and keep internal access tight. The privacy policy has the full detail.
This platform can offer support through community, but it is not a substitute for professional help. If you are in crisis, call the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline on 988, text HOME to 741741 for the Crisis Text Line, or contact your campus counselling centre.
We cooperate with law enforcement when legally required, particularly for threats, illegal activity or court orders. We protect user privacy, but we cannot guarantee anonymity in serious legal matters.
Contact and accounts
Email [email protected] or use the contact form. We usually reply within one to three business days.
No. You can read confessions and send anonymous ones without one. An account is only needed to run your own confession page, keep an inbox, or take part in the feed.
Still stuck?
If none of the above covers it, send us the details and we will reply within one to three business days.
